America is still rooted and grounded in a spirit of compassion and mutual respect toward all of its citizens.

While we may appear to be going down a slippery slope and devolving into something that feels and seems foreign, at our core we still embody a shared sense of decency and dignity.

Contrary to the noise that dominates parts of our public square, we are still a united nation — not a divided one — despite our differing views and philosophies about the issues of life.

The atmosphere is full of voices and opinions that are designed to pit us against one another and cause more distrust and resentment.

And the chatter is causing innocent and decent Americans to feel more insecure and intimidated than ever.

Ultimately, though, the vision and determination which have sustained us across generations is far greater than the shifting norms and changing traditions we are witnessing all around us.
