What does God see when He looks at your heart?

Does He see unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, or jealousy?

Does He see someone whose heart is filled with pride, arrogance, vanity, or rebellion?

Too often, we use facades to try and mask pain, insecurities, or weaknesses.

We waste time trying to appear religious or good, while our hearts are still full of anger, hypocrisy, or strife.

While we may successfully deceive the people around us, God sees through all of our cover-ups.

My prayer is that we are maturing to become people after God’s heart.

People who choose to love, not to hate.

People of integrity, not hypocrisy.

People who render kindness and grace, not selfishness and greed.

“….The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7b)
