Does your life model what’s eternal or what’s temporal?
As followers of Christ, we are commanded to model the very life which Christ lived and died for — an abundant and victorious life now and into eternity.
What do your words and actions reveal about you?
Do you love others with an unconditional and unfailing love?
Is your hope in eternal things or in things that you see or touch?
Does your life bear eternal fruit (e.g. peace, joy) or temporal fruit (e.g. self-sufficiency, material success)?
Christ-followers must be imitators of Christ.
The life of a Christian must embody the message of Christ.
And that is a message which others can look to — the Gospel message of faith, love, and hope in Christ alone.
“…..we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ…..In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. As a result, you have become an example to all the believers…..” 1 Thessalonians 1:3b, 6b, 7a (NLT)
